Fall Clothing Order for Cyclocross Season? Anyone?
Hey y’all. I want to get the ball rolling asap on a fall clothing order for the upcoming cross season. Turnaround is about 6 weeks if we order soon. On the last batch of clothing, I ordered a prototype long sleeve skinsuit, and it is pretty sharp (I will post photos later). Any interest? If we could drum up the interest to order a minimum of 6 pieces, we can get them for about $125 a piece, which is a pretty darn good price for a custom long sleeve skinsuit. Any takers?
Limited Quantities of Team Clothing
We have a few leftover items in the X-Men Team Store. A few windvests in size Medium and Large, a long sleeve jersey or two, and a whole bunch of socks. Head on over and check it out.
New Team Socks Are In
Our new team socks from Defeet are loaded up in the X-Men online store. Get you some, before they are all sold out.
Lunchie Rides In SLC
Here is a photo of Paul modeling the full kit (long sleeve jersey, bibs, vest) during a lunch ride in SLC. For any new members who want to join our club, or for existing members who need more gear, Pre-Ordering for Summer 2010 is going on right now. Allez yourself over to the X-Men Online Store and place your order for an early June delivery.
Double-Takes In Emigration Canyon
The last two weeks, I have been able to take advantage of the mild SL,UT weather, and sneak out for an evening Emi Canyon ride. It’s like a freeway for road riders this time of year. Lots of solo riders and little groups going up and down. Kind of like hamsters on a wheel. I can’t believe how many riders passing in the other direction do a double-take when they see the new X-Men kit. That’s right, we’re back. I saw Greg Jex passing the other way, and he looked like he saw a ghost before he recognized it was me. Come on. It hasn’t been that long since I unplugged from the scene, has it?
Happy New Year
I’m looking forward to 2010 as the year the X-Men get back into the Utah racing scene. We’ll call it a rebuilding year of sorts. Thanks to all the past, present, and future X-Men club members for sticking with it.
Our winter clothing order from Squadra arrived in Park City on Christmas Eve, so thanks to everyone who pre-ordered. We currently have a few extra Long Sleeve thermal jerseys and windvests, so if you missed the pre-order period, stop on over at the store and grab what is left.
Winter Clothing Update
I talked to the folks at Squadra, and the long sleeve jerseys and vest should hit Park City next week. If you placed an order, I will be following up with you as soon as the goods arrive. They will come in handy for nordic skiing, winter riding, and for some, next season is right around the corner (not me, I got a lot of skiing to do).
Below is a photo taken on Thanksgiving Day, about halfway up Snow Canyon in St. George, Utah. It’s a great ride, so if you find yourself looking to get some down south riding in, definitely try the scenic Snow Canyon loop. Bring a few dollars in case the State Park ranger makes you pay. We rolled through and got on the bike path, no problem.

Pre-order Vests and Long Sleeve Jerseys
Many club members and cycling fashionistas have asked if we were going to put together a cold weather clothing order. We have negotiated some great prices on Vests and Long Sleeve jerseys. Head on over to the online store, place a pre-order for vests and/or long sleeves, and we will do a small order. Delivery is looking like early to mid-December, which means you’ll have stuff for the tail end of cyclocross season (maybe), nordic ski season, and spring 2010. Prices are cheap for custom clothing in small quantities, so once again, Squadra is hooking us up.
The Week’s News: Clothing and Cyclocross Practice
We’re trying to get an idea of who is interested in ordering some custom X-Men cold weather clothing? We have again been given super low pricing for long sleeve jerseys, jackets, and vests. Who’s in? I will post thumbnail images of the designs in our X-Men Online Store, and we will take pre-orders once the images are up.
Cyclocross, or PsychoCross, practice races are being held in various locations around Park City. Check out the schedule for the next few weeks here: Park City Psycho-Cross Blog.
